Who we are

Calandrini was born as a factory of religious articles towards the end of the 70s by the will of the founder Mario Busi, who, overturning his paper processing business until then practiced, threw himself, with the entrepreneurial courage that had always distinguished him, into this new product sector foreseeing a strong development and a pool of potential customers much larger than what one could have imagined at first glance.

His choice was to launch on the market a whole series of articles that combined the practicality of daily use with a quality/price ratio accessible to the greatest possible number of people, not addressing exclusively the high end of the market but rather those who were looking for and wanted an economical but dignified article.

This particular characteristic, excellent quality production combined with serious cost control, has led our company to an exceptional and constant development over time, placing it as an undisputed leader at a global level and an example to follow in our very particular sector.

The recent purchase of the new and large headquarters with the transfer of the various production units, previously located separately, must be seen with this perspective that has always characterized us: maximum commitment and seriousness to give our customers the certainty that a Calandrini product, in addition to being guaranteed, is also the result of serious and meticulous work, where nothing is left to chance and where, rather than systematically copying articles already on the market, we still seek, with the correctness that has always characterized us, the originality of shapes, materials and innovative technologies.

The plant extends over a surface area of 4,000 m2, allowing all processes to be contained, from the treatment of raw materials to shipping, under constant control.

The warehouse allows us to stock semi-finished products, to always have available, as far as possible, all the items in the catalog. The mechanical workshop offers us the possibility, in addition to producing the catalog items, to make changes to the normal production at the customer's request. Our work is mainly concentrated on brass and bronze, semi-noble materials that allow for more than dignified finishes.

The plant has two fundamental departments, in addition to the normal drawing and turning: welding, always and only performed with silver, and metal cleaning, an essential and delicate operation that every brass object must undergo before any galvanic treatment.

The galvanic baths inside the factory allow us to immediately process orders and offer a range of finishes at the customer's discretion. We have baths of 24 kt pure gold, both shiny and opaque, palladium similar to highly resistant to natural oxidation in the air, shiny and opaque nickel, and finally an ageing bath that gives brass objects the characteristic patina of antiquing.

We personally design and take care of each of our objects in its shapes and finishes.
